PR after the CSQ

Dear all,

I have a question: how long does it take on average these days to get my PR after getting my CSQ in Quebec? Specifically, will they treat my PR application differently than if I apply to the Federal government directly in terms of processing time, like giving it priority or something?

I am living in Montreal, what is the best visa office? I am guessing it is Ottawa, isn't it? In this visa office it is said that it takes 20 months!! Is this true?

if you are in Canada at least one year so yes you can choose Ottawa as visa office or you can choose your home country visa office if processing times is less than 20 months.

i am living also in Montreal and have priority processing and chose ottawa as VO, ottawa processing is 20 months, 20 months is max processing but as i said it always around one year,

Actually in the visa office in my country of origin it takes twice as long as in Ottawa!! Indeed, some of them got it in around 1 year from their AOR in the Ottawa visa office. But what is AOR? is it the file number after opening the file? and how long does it take to open the file after receiving the application anyway? Because in Quebec it takes 3 months to open a file. I need to know whether this 1 year will include the pre-processing time to open the file or just after opening the file.

first you will send your application to Sydney nova Scotia ,they will check everything like CSQ , documents checklist, if everything is ok they will send you AOR [UCI and application number] over email then they should transfer your file to VO "Ottawa",

Sydney AOR processing times max 6 months, i had 5 months
so hopefully one year total including (AOR+Medical+Security checks + PPR)
