Hey everyone,

I sent my ppt last Thursday (Feb 11) and arrived on friday. I have a problem here I just realized my photos (35 x 39 mm) are a bit smaller than what they ask for (35 x 45 mm).

I am not sure if it will cause problems, and thought to send a new set of photos. But I called my lawyer and he told me just wait and should not be a problem.

What do you think?
Thank you

Did he say why to wait? I don't know anything aobut this but I don't think sending will delay your application as long as you explain it in a letter or something. It might be wasting money but its worth avoiding the risk right?

Hi,

It will not be a problem for visa stamping.
But I suggest you to keep a set of correct size ( 35x45 mm) of same ( not new photo) photo with you while landing. Anticipate the possibility of the Immigration officer asking ( not necessary all the time) for correct size photo, when he notice the small size on the COPR. This photo is used for transferring the image for the PR card. In case he ask for it, you can give it at that time.

Hi Wilson,
Point taken on photo size on arrival. One more thing, how should one go about it when asked to provide a canadian mailing address? I mean if you have NO canadian mailing address at the time of arriving, does the imigration officer(in canada) give you sometime to work on the address issue then present it at a later time?

Hi,

Yes, of course every one don't have relatives or friends in Canada when landing.
You can provide an address later but at the earliest opportunity to the Call center.

As Wilson rightly advised, it shouldn't be a prob. Just to add further, even if u do not carry additional pics while landing, it's of no issue. The IO's desk at the POE has an online camera for clicking your pics, if he so desires. In fact they will take a print-out containing 8 pp size pics; and hand-u over the rest pics for FREE.

It's always good to provide a Canadian Address at the POE itself, unless u r Ok with the delay & hassle.

Aren't u taking some sort of 'temp accom' prior to landing, say the www.safehomestay.ca? U can provide their street address for the PR cards [off course after removing the motel/hotel name].

Thanks a lot for your suggestions,
Got it back without problems.
