Dear Seniors,

On 28th of Feb 2014, I got an email from London Office regarding submission of my passports. Email is below. My wife is pregnant and the delivery is due in the last week of Apr 2014. Shall I inform about this expected change or not? Also we are a kind of hesitant to travel on this date as it will be a little bit tight. Kindly Help as I need to submit the passport before 28th of Mar 2014!!!

Dear Mr Munir,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada, which we are now ready to finalise.

Please refer to the attached document for the details required at this stage.

Once issued, your visas will be valid until 2014/06/14.

We look forward to receiving the information shortly.

Yours sincerely,

Looking at trackitt.com, it seems that most people applying through London got their passport back with their visa within a month of sending it but in some case, it can be longer. You don't want your baby born on the plane so I think it would be wiser to tell them that you are expecting and ask them to put your file on hold until your baby is born so you can add your baby to your application.

Leon,

Thanks for the swift reply. Do you recommend to inform them through mail alongwith our passports or shall I write to them now?

Regards,

Shoaib

You shouldn't send your passports at all but notify them now about the baby and ask them to wait until your baby is born so you can add to your application. Once the baby is born, you need to get the baby a passport, add it to your application, get medicals for the baby as well and you would all get your PR visas issued together.
