I just learned that I won't be eligible to a post-study work permit because sadly I wasn't able to renew my study permit on time. I am in Quebec. The real reasons was that my family was going through extreme financial difficulty and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish my studies in the first place. Now thats out of the way, I now hear that I won't be able to get a post studies work permit.
I still have 1 year left of my studies, as of yet I haven't applied for a leave of absence from my University. I was doing a Computer Science Bachelors (3 years). My English skills are excellent and French skills are intermediate. I do not have work history and I will be 22 years old by the time I graduate.
What are all my options? How do I get ready for this? I want to stay in Canada at all costs as I really love the country and my family sacrificed almost everything to get me where I am and I do not want to fail them.
