Hello,
I hope everyone and their loved ones are safe and keeping well.
I got ITA today after getting nominated in OINP HCP stream. I am also getting married in 3 days. At the time of EE profile creation in Dec 2020 and getting OINP NOI, I was single. I want to add my spouse with my application without compromising the prospects of getting a PR. So my question is - How should I proceed?
As far as I can see, there are two ways to do this -
a. Continue as single applicant and complete the ITA application in a couple of days (preferably before the ceremony) by paying Right of Permanent Residence Fee fee. Then after I get married, inform IRCC about status change and proceed as advised by them. Get medical and PCC for both.
b. Wait and get married first and then indicate that I am married in ITA application. Pay RPRF, get PCC and medical for both.
Q1. If you were in my shoes, what would be your approach?
Q2. My current CRS is 1064 and is this score going to change as my would-be spouse has not taken IELTS or ECA?
Q3. Is there a documentation or webpage on this topic in CIC website (I tried looking for it, but was unable to find relevant information).
Thanks I would really appreciate any suggestions/responses on this
PS: Just to be clear - I do not wish to dupe IRCC nor do I want to twist facts. I want to submit spousal application with all the details correctly.
