Post Graduate Work permit

Last month i applied for PGWP
2 yr study (2different programs )

But today i recived update they give me only 1yr work permit

Why ?

Any suggestions ?

What were the two programs you studied? What were they called and which schools?

if u go for a 2 years straight course then the chance of getting work permit of 2 or more years is very high. in your case as u chose 1+1 pg course u got 1 year of work permit. let me tell u in this case the chance is 50-50

and yeah.. what u can do after few months is apply for extension of work permit.. as u haven't stayed in canada for more than 4 years u cant apply for PR

You can not extend a pgwp unless you've been issued a shorter time than elligible because your passport expiring.

You can only amend your pgwp if it's issued for a shorter time than elligible and you should do that ASAP.


Do a search within the forum as there are LOTS of advice on how to do that.
