Hello,
I'm currently staying in Canada with Post Graduate Work permit, I have been charged and Convicted for DUI Last 2017. Never got any Jail sentence but received Driving License Suspension and Criminal Record. I have been trying to Re Appeal for the case. But its taking too much time from Lawyer's end. My work permit is getting over by 2020. Is there any way I can extend my Work Permit.

You may be criminally inadmissible given the conviction. It is unlikely you'll be able to extend the permit if you are criminally inadmissible.

I don’t know if anything changed from 2014 till present but I too was on pgwp and caught DUI in Alberta. I was summoned in court and charged with a fine amount of 2875 CAD. However, in Alberta this is not criminal offense rather a traffic offense which will be shown in your drivers abstract. Guess what happened 5 years later? I became a PR

The OP said they have a criminal record.

Also, much has changed since 2014 regarding driving charges. Yes, there's still the catch of the provincial offence versus the criminal offence, but if OP has a criminal record - they didn't catch the provincial offence.
