Hello everyone!

I just graduated from a university in Ontario and I am now waiting to get my post-graduate work permit.
I already started applying for jobs and might be getting it very soon. One of them is on contract. Now I started thinking about obtaining permanent residency. I spoke to a lawyer who told me I need 12 months of a work experience (which requires post secondary education) to be eligible to apply for a PR card. So now I am just wondering if working as a contractor is going to count towards that work experience I need to change my status in Canada.
Anyone has any information on that?
Thanks in advance! :)

12 months of work will only help you to get into the Express Entry pool and it doesn't mean that you will get a PR card.

A job at level O, A and B is required. Contract for a year is ok.

maybe also look at the requirements to apply for PR which can be a long process http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp
