Hi all,
I have a post graduation work permit which will expire next year. It is a 3yr permit, is there any way of having this extended?

Also, I have accepted an offer of full-time permanent employment, does this have any bearing on an extension? I'm nervous to bring this up to my employer for fear of having the offer taken away. I am supposed to start next week. I have seen that an LMO is required... is this something I would have had to ask for? Or would my employer know they need one prior to choosing me for the position?

Please help!!

PGWPs cannot be extended.

Your employer will have to obtain an approved LMO for you to continue working past the expiry of your PGWP. You will then apply for a new work permit using this LMO.

It's impossible for any of us to say if your employer knows about the LMO requirement or not. You'll have to have this conversation with them yourself.
