Possibly having a child between DM and landing...

Hello everyone,

As the subject states, there's a possibility of having a child in between the DM that I received a bit over a week ago and the landing which I have yet to receive an invitation for.

My wife is due on October 26th, and with the waiting times for landing interviews that might well happen after that date.

Do I need to contact CIC in this case, and if so is it better to do it now rather than wait until the child is born?

It looks like you are being sponsored inland so I am assuming your child will be born in Canada and therefore is Canadian and will not have to be added. In that case, it is not as important.

You should however let immigration know about it. At the very latest when the baby is born. You can prepare a new additional family information form where your baby is listed and give it to them at your interview.
