Hi,

For a position in my work history, the position name I entered in my application and the one company mentioned in the letter is different. It was an umbrella company that kept me in the payroll, and the position name was general one like "IT Consultant", the one I used in application was my actual title at end customer. Company does not change it as it is mentioned in all official papers such as work permit.

Does it make any issue if the position name in the letter is different than the one used in initial application? Is it possible to change that name entered at the stage of uploading documents?

Thanks

Okan

of course it makes a difference. Every NOC code has a list of possible job titles. If the one on your reference letter falls under different code that you provided in your application, then CIC has the right to refuse your application. They can refuse it if any of the information we provide down the line is different to the one we provided when first creating the profile.

I hope you have found a thread with a problem just like yours.

Good luck
