POLL 1 -HOW MANY WERE NOT REFUSED IN REAPPLICATION WHEN CORRECTING NOC

Hi to all the members, I am creating 2 polls in order to help me decide promptly how I should proceed with my new application (reapplication) since I am very confuse on how the visa officers may take changes of NOC in reapplication (even if these changes come from an honest mistake in the old applications.)This is poll # 1 –


1-How many of you have reapply and their reapplication was NOT refused when changing a NOC submitted in the old application that was not on the 38 NOC list with one that was because they actually realized that one of the 38 NOCs did fit better/correctly with their job description?

2-`Did you send a cover letter? Please let me know what should I write in my coverletter is this situation to avoid a refusal?

In my case:
-Old application Jan. 2008 with wrong NOC: 0114 Adminstrative Mgr.
(NOC not in the list of 38 NOCs eligible for the PR, reason why old application refused.)

-New application want to correct NOC with 0111 - Financial Manager or Controllers (duties really fit my activities, 1st application only had 6mo. of experience with 0114 but now I have 3years of experience which is actually 0111 but need to fix the NOC from old application)

Please your experience is greatly value since I have not been able to send my new application, since I do not know how to approach this. If you already went through a similar case you opinion will be great help.

NOC -0122 (Banking credit and other investment managers)

Then i sent a letter to both CIO and CHC that i can also be considered as 0111 (Financial Manager)
but i got rejected for not mentioning sufficent duties

filed again to CIO ..with full details
got IA from CIO

full application to CHC ND - 9-apr-2010

status still received by VO

Also, did you get this same response from the Office for your May 16th 2008 application?
" As your occupation(s) are not included on the list of eligible occupations, we are unable to process your application at this time.¨

I took that response from the Office as a refusal due to the changes in requirements in Feb. 2008, but then I noticed that I applied with tong NOC, reason why I want to reapply.

For the new application in Schedule 1, there is a question that says:
¨Have you been refused status in, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa to Canada"
I will be answering YES, is that right? Did you put YES too in your 2nd application to this question?

There is a little square below in the application for explanation.
So, was wondering if you mind sharing with me what you wrote in your explanation letter so that I can uses as a references and my application passes with no problem just as yours did. You mentioned..

One last thing, when you sent detailed duties does that means that you also sent to the CIO Sydney a reference letter from your supervisor or HR, even though they don’t ask for this in this stage, but that you did due to the situation?

I dunt even send original ref letter with full application because it the policy of our instituon that we need to leave the job before immigrating

many of my colligues did the same and they were thruu

FOr the details duties that you mentioned before that you sent when you applied again, how did you do this if you are telling me you did not explain anything? , did you just listed the duties in a separate peace of paper to be more clear? or how was it? please just a bit of insight...really appreciate your answer.

I just listed 10-12 dutes in the space given in the forms ....No extra paper attached ...i think the space given in the form was sufficient for the duties i am performing


and i put yes in the refusal column ....if you dont do this ..they can refuse you for misinterpretation and can ban your entry in Canada
