Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your time. I got my invitation and I am applying for my PR. However, I am supposed to upload my criminal record from my birth country. I left my country 2 years ago and I never went back. Before leaving my country I got my criminal record to give it to the Canadian Embassy.
My question is that since I never went back home after that criminal record, do I have to get a new one or the old one is still valid? Because due to the Covid 19 all centers are closed until further notice and probably it will be in the next 3 months, and I won't be able to upload it to my application. I have to add that we do not have any embassy or diplomatic representation in Canada.

Thanks for your valuable help

Considering you have been staying in your home country for more than 6 months continuously before you left and the old certificate is dated before the day you exited that place, in my understanding you will need to apply a new check.
In case of PCC when in doubt always get a new one, thats the thumb rule.
