Hi All

I have got my ITA on the last draw, now I have a question on police clearance. In the last 10 yrs, I have stayed in UK for a duration of 1 year (work permit). Someone told me that I need to get police clearance from UK consulate also as I have stayed there for more than 6 months. Is that true ?

Yes. You have to get a police check from any country you have visited for more than 6 months. Get a UK police check.

Just a precision :
Police clearance is for all the countries you stayed more than 6 months since you turned 18 years old, so could be more than 10 years depending on your age

Hi,

I stayed in Geneva, Switzerland for 3 months to do my internship(after graduation). Should I get the PCC from Switzerland ?

And an important change in past year is that the 6 months are cumulative. So if all the short trips you took to a country are equal or greater than 6 months you need a PCC now. It used to be for residence of consecutive 6 months or more.
