Police Clearance

Can anyone pls advise how to get Police clearance from India. Since my 18th Bday i have travelled a lot to many places in India. Currenlty when i checked with the Local police Station they said they can issue me a certificate only for the period of stay in current place. Any advise on how to get a Single police clearance (From 18th Bday till now) will be highly appreciated.
