I Read from instruction guide, it says police clearance must be obtained within 3 months prior to the date application was submitted.

I have no problem with the canadian clearance, i intend to get it 2 month before submitting the application, what about the police clearance from my own country, does it also need to be obtained within 3 months prior to submision? It is just rediculous, i haven't been back to my own country for almost 2 years, i just asked my parents to get it and got it certified 1 month ago, which would end up being 4 month prior to submission date, is it still gonna be valid?

you do not need a canadian police clearance certificate because they have direct access to the RCMP database(they might ask for an rcmp ginger print at later stage if there is a name match).
yes you do need a police clearance certificate from your country of origin and any other countries that you have stayed in 6 months or more.
yes it has to be valid at the time your application is received by cic(validity is 3 months)if its longer then 3 months then its considered expired and you will be asked to submit a new one(this is mandatory).
as long as the PCC is received by immigration within the 3 months of the issue date there is no problem and it will be valid for one year but if the processing of your application takes longer then one year you will be asked for a new one.
you can get a PCC by either contacting the consulate of your home country in canada or getting someone to do it for your at your country of originif its permitted.
if you think this is a rediculous rule by CIC then no one is forcing you to apply for a permanent residence.i don't think you want your own country to allow people in without checking their criminal and security background unless you have no issue living with criminals lol :)

Thanks for the entry. I am not complaining about the policies, just feeling kind odd, having all the things done and end up being useless.

Anyway, rules are set, i guess i will have to play by the rule.

by the way you do not need to wait for your PCC,you can send your application now if you have everything else ready and attach a cover letter letting them now you will add the police clearance certificate later when you get them.
once you get your file number you can just mail your police celearance certificate to cpp-ottawa,a lot of people have done it and you don't have to worry they will not return your application back as incomplete.
if everything else is ready go ahead and do not waste any precious time.

good luck :)

I have submitted my clearance from my country of origin 9 months ago, that is 2 months after i filed my application. Now that i got my medical request, vo asked me to submit a new one, i just learned that it is only valid for 6 months once they receive it. And i only have 60 days to submit it to vo, but said that i can ask for extension period as i think its gonna take a while before i finally have it because of the holidays.
