Hi there, any help regarding this would be appreciated.
I am sponsoring my parents to come to Canada from South Africa. They have also lived in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Police clearances from South Africa are easy to get within the 3 month period required by Canadian Immigration. The problem is Zimbabwe and Zambia. When i immigrated in 2001 it took the Zimbabwe Police 9 months to respond and send clearance. I'm not sure about Zambia.
I am putting in my application in Jan 2015 when they start accepting applications again. My parents are submitting their police clearances to Zimbabwe and Zambian police this month as it may take a while to get clearance. BUT, if they respond quickly ( which will probably not happen) then the clearances will be out of the 3 month period when I submit in january.
What do we do. Trying to line up 3 different police clearances in a set time line could be a huge problem. Is there any leeway?
