I studied in Illinois state of USA for 4 years so I asked for police clearance of that

After that I worked in OHIO state of USA

I was moving to different places on different projects

i spent first 4 months in OHIO state
then 4 months in California state
and then again 4 months in OHIO state

DO i need to get police clearance for OHIO ? - I never stayed there for 6 months at a stretch - normally police clearances are required if you stay for 6 months in some state . .

The TOTAL time i stayed in OHIO was 8 months however . . . !!

So shall i ask for this or not ?

Thanks

Only an FBI clearance is required for the USA. The visa office does have the right to ask for state police clearances later on; however it is not common as long as you can provide the FBI clearance.

I second it.

please follow following for FBI PCC,

Correct, some people send FBI clearance and US state police clearance with full documents, FBI is mandatory to send with your application, but stat police clearance is not mandatory to submit with full docs, if VO have query then VO will inform you to submit US state police clearance. (mostly consultant/representitive advise to collect both certificates from USA and send with full documents).

just send FBI clearance at this movement.
