Hello Everyone,

I have this query I have been in Canada from last 4 years and never went back to India and I work at Toronto Pearson Airport so in the past for the Security clearance of my badge at the airport GTA asked me for a PCC from India last year in Oct 2016. So my Dad in India sent me a PCC from a local office of SP in Haryana. But I lived in Delhi for 4 years for my Bachelors but on my passport I have My Haryana's address so i was wondering Can I use the same PCC for my Post ITA PCC. As i have never been back to India and does it matter that i lived in Delhi ?? as my dad told me they only issue a PCC based on your permanent residence in India Senior member Please reply

Get it from Indian Embassy in Toronto. I think you'll have to get it through BLS. That will cover all your stays in India.

But as on the CIC it says if you not a resident of delhi you can get it from Any local police station and as my permanent address in india is in Haryana and i already have the PCC and other thing is i have never been back home since i came to canada and i know indian consulate take around like 3 weeks to provide me PCC and i only have 4 days left to Apply so only option i ma left it is uploading my PCC from COt 2016 from local Police. Do you think i might face problem with it anything ??

Your Haryana Police PCC will not cover your stay in Delhi. Someone was rejected for the same reason. They provided PCC from Chennai but had also lived in Bangalore. I've read on this forum that people have got PCC from embassy in Canada in 1 day too.

Go to Indian Consulate tomorrow morning at 9-9:30 and you will have the PCC in your hand by noon, dont forget to carry all the documents...

You need a new PCC as I think that the PCC is only valid for 6 months ( I am assuming that I read this somewhere), but when you only have 4 days in hand then spending another CAD 91.00 is not a big deal.

I got mine the same day in 2 hrs as the there was a lot of waiting that day.

Below is the list of documents required to get the PCC from Indian Consulate:-

1. Indian Passport
2. Police Clearance Application Form http://www.blsindia-canada.com/forms/HCI-CGI_Police Clearance Certificate form.pdf
3. Police Clearance Reference Form http://www.blsindia-canada.com/forms/HCI_CGI_Police_Clearance_Reference_form.PDF
4. Copy of status document
5. Copy of address proof
6. Bank draft of CAD 91 on the name of "Consulate General of India".

Take all the documents pre filled (I took few extra print outs of both the form just in case)
You can get the Bank Draft in the same Building in Canada post opposite No Frills, they will charge CAD 7.50 extra for Bank Draft which is the rate at the banks as well.

Hope that helps, Best of luck.

One of my friend also submitted PCC from Local Police station only but he has already submitted his POST ITA documents so is there is a way by which he can re upload or send a new PCC getting it from Indian consulate ??? Like throught case specific enquiry or anything ??

Please let me know if he can we both can go together and can do it at the same time ????

Do they give the draft right away and what time do they open and as soon as i give all my documents do they give the PCC report right away or do i have to pick it up some other time ???

Do they give the draft right away
They give you the Draft right away, it took me 5 minutes in total to get the Draft (waited in line for my turn)

and what time do they open
Hours:
Monday 9:30AM–12:30PM
Tuesday 9:30AM–12:30PM
Wednesday 9:30AM–12:30PM
Thursday 9:30AM–12:30PM
Friday 9:30AM–12:30PM
(Picked it from Google)

and as soon as i give all my documents do they give the PCC report right away or do i have to pick it up some other time ???

You have to wait there for an hour or so depending on the number of people who are already there before you, as they collect all the documents from you and process the information to match with any criminal activity, if it comes clean they will ask you to submit the Bank Draft, and it takes hardly an hour from then.

Hope that helps.....

You can get it together however It doesn't make any sense for him to get it again

Also, If he has already submitted the PCC then he doesnt need another one until and unless he has visited India after the Issue date of the PCC.

I am not sure why your friend needs a new PCC now after submitting it already?.

No he said he submitted the PCC from Local POlice SP but now everyone is saying if you lived in delhi and you permanent address is from somewhere else thn you need to submit PCC from Consulate not from Local SP office as me and him worked togther in india delhi but he already submitted his application with PCC from local SP office but he lived in delhi for 4 years so now as we are looking cases where people are being rejected based on PCC that why dont they have PCC from consulate or PSK and just submitting one from local SP office that is why just to be on safe he also wants one from consulate but the point is .IS there is a way by which he can submit the new PCC from consulate even after he already submitted his PR application.????he submitted last week only. Any suggestion how he could upload it even after his application is in initial process??

Yes, he can submit through CSE. What category does he belong to? I'm told that docs uploaded through CSE are taking 2-6 weeks to get attached to your application. If he is FSW then I think it will reach on time. If CEC, then he is at risk, as his application will be picked for screening soon. But best option is to raise CSE regardless.
