Hi
I have received my PNP. I am in processing of filing federal PNP based PR( paper based application)

Hi
I got some information from this forum that i could get PCC faster from my own country , rather than applying through the Indian consulate in Vancouver. Well, i did just the same , but my licensed immigration agent said the PCC is not what CIC wants , since it is issued by the city in which i lived in India and it is useless since it wont prove i have police clearance elsewhere is the country.

He suggested that i should get it from consulate office( which takes far more time ) , and other problem is i read on this forum that i need canadian visa to apply for the PCC through the consulate (my visa has expired since 1 year , however i can stay in country since i have work permit till january 2017). So in this situation , should i first submit passport for visa , and then once i get it , only then i can apply for PCC through consulate ??

My immigration agent said he doesnt have much information on getting PCC.
Can anyone please help me on this ?

You are paying an immigration agent who is completely clueless. Instead you could pay me. Approach the Indian consulate with your valid work permit that allows you to stay and work in Canada.
