Dear Forum members.
I am an Indian national residing in UAE. I have never lived 6 months at a stretch in India but I do go on vacations to India. I wonder if the 6 months requirement for obtaining a PCC is valid when the 6 months are not stayed in a stretch but over many years ? Please advise.

If your stay has never been >=6 months in a row since the age of 18, then you won't need a PCC from India.

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18.

Very true, however he should have a proof in case they asked for it (proof that he hasn't stayed in india for more than 6 months since age 18...i.e. passport stamps)

if it was less than 6 months, you wouldn't need one.
