Hi,

Just wondering whether I could get the police clearance certificate prior to getting the ITA. Any idea how long it would be valid?

Thanks all.. :) :)

It is valid for six months for the country of residence

thanks. Is it okay if I get it prior to receiving the ITA?

It depends. If you think you can get ITA and file an eAPR in less than 6 months, then go for it.

Depends on which country PCC you require. I know India and UK are very fast. People who want PCC from FBI have reported wait times of 12-14 weeks. You will miss the deadline of 90 days if you wait to get ITA.

It depends on your score and other aspects (such as nomination etc).
You can plan to obtain PCC about a month before you expect the ITA (e.g., immediately after getting nomination). this will ensure you will have your PCC ready when you receive the ITA as well as it will not expire sooner than you need to.

Hi,
I received an ITA last week. I live in the US but I am not a citizen. I completed the police report form and got my fingerprints yesterday and then sent them to the FBI yesterday. How long do you think it takes to get the certificate? On their website, it says around 12-14 weeks but I want to learn about your experiences. Does anyone get his certificate early? I have only 85 days (12 weeks) left to complete my application. I'd very much appreciate if you could share your experiences. Thank you
