Hello Everyone,

I have a small doubt about filling the PCC form in Mumbai. In the part which just mentions Police Station what should be written there?

Please suggest.

This is usually the police station that is closest to your place of residence. If your place of residence falls under the jurisdiction of a particular police station, then this the one you have to mention in your form.

This is how it works here in Karnataka, and I think it shouldn't be any different in Mumbai.

Thank you. One more question. How many proofs are enough? I have given one aadhar card and last month electricity bill, is it enough?
Because it says maximum you can provide 4 proofs. Hence, my question how many supporting proof documents are enough?

For address proof, you can provide minimum 3 documents such as Aadhar card, Electricity bill, Letter from Housing society confirming that you reside there since a particular month-year , Lease agreement (in case of rented apartment) OR flat ownership document (possession letter, etc.), recent bank statements (stamped by the bank).

I have filled in 3 proofs.
1. Electricity bill of last month
2. Aadhar card
3. Gas bill

I hope this is enough?

I suppose these documents should be enough.
Have you applied for PCC at PSK?

Good. Because the format in which PSK provides PCC is the one accepted by IRCC.
Just post it on this forum the no. of days it took you to get the PCC from PSK, once you get it.

this is misguiding. Both the PCC from PSK and PVC from local police station are accepted equally. IF you have resided in one place throughout your life or after 18 yrs of age PVC from police stn is okay (you can get it in a day or two). If you have changed residence and stayed in multiple cities then PCC from PSK will be convenient only becaue it does not mention the address.

I am staying in different city but same state for past 8 years but I don't have any address proof here. If I show my permanent address as current address, will it ok.

somewhere it will reflect that you worked in diff city or studied in diff city, so not taking any chance go ro PSK PCC

What misguiding???
This has been discussed so many times that the PCC obtained from Police stations is either time bound or geographically bound and it is not accepted by IRCC. If Police Stations can issue the PCC similar to the format of PSK, then it is acceptable.
Whereas PCC from PSK is neither time or geographically bound and covers the entire duration of stay in India.

it is accepted by CIC there are many applicants who got PR. it is not time bound it is place bound because it mention address. Dont say it is not accepted, that is misguiding. you can say PSK PCC is preferred by applicants.
