Hello

I just got my BCPNP APPROVAL!. Inside the package they suggest to apply for Permanent Residence before I get the police certificates. However, my common law partner is Japanese and in the specific visa instructions website for Japanese citizens, they mention that I have to submit the police cleareance with my initial application. In addition, I am a Mexican citizen and the BCPNP package states to initiate the process of obtaining the police clearance immediately but the specific visa instructions website mentions that I do not need to submit the police clearance with my initial application but eventually the office will contact me. Any suggestion to which instructions should I follow?

I'll stick with the BCPNP, I'm Mexican living in USA, and the Mexican Consulate doesn't do the PCC.

Unfortunately I am not Mexican... but I did live in Mexico for almost a year... beautiful place, good food... anyway :)
But here is what I did......
For as long as I searched on the web, asked, emailed and called...... embassy, police institutions in Mexico, etc... I did not find a place to get the police certificate other than traveling to Mexico or having someone living there to process it for you!!!

I eventually got an email from the PGR, kind of like the FBI over there or something like that :).. and they told me explicitly to go there or have someone over there to request it... :(
It's been sooo long since I live in Mexico, almost 10 years.... and I have lost all the contacts there :(

so... what I did... and I am expecting and answer/rejection/instructions, etc... was to include in my CIC application the FBI certificate, home country police certificate, translations of the email I received from PGR, and my written statement signed for me and certified by a notary stating that I did almost the impossible to get the Mexican police certificate and... the only possibility I had was to travel to Mexico to request it.
I am also stating that I would need to spend a fortune if I were to do that, because I would need around 10 days to request certificate in Mexico D.F. paying hotel, food, flight ticket; and 3-4 days to process certificate in Monterrey again paying hotel, food, flight ticket.....

what is going to be the outcome of this???... only God and the immigration officer know and I am just waiting patiently for their answer....

BTW I also called the Mexican consulate in Boston and they told me that they were going to find out about the process and that they would call me back..... I am still waiting for their call :))
