Police certificates

Hello,
I m totally struggled with all these requirements for police certificates. I am PR and my wife is visitor, we are both in Canada now. She's been here since February. I'm reading about requirements for the Police certificates and cannot understand some things. First of all: do they need my certificates from my country and Canadian ones?
We are going to use outland method. So my wife only needs certificates back from her country or Canadian ones too?

The police certificates are for your wife (the principal applicant) not you (the sponsor). She will need one for every country she has lived at least 6 months in.

So if she is in Canada for less than 6 months she doesn't need the canadian certificate?

Sorry, I wasn't very specific. She shouldn't need a Canadian clearance anyways, unless for some reason the CIC asks for it.
