Hi,

I have lived in two cities in my home country. In one city i lived for around 7 years and in the current city that i am living in i have changed addresses twice. Will i need 3 PCCs for applying?

How recent should the PCC be?

You need one PCC for the COUNTRY (not city) covering the entire time you have lived in that country. Start with IRCC/CiC's recommendations on how to get the PCC for your country.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp

If you still live there, the PCC cannot be more than 6 months old at the time you submit your eAPR. If you no longer reside there, it does not really expire, but it has to be dated AFTER you stopped residing there.

Thanks alot for the information

Just another query, I have a PCC that was issued more than 6 months ago. I can get it re-issued, but the address mentioned on the certificate does not match my current address where i am residing presently. Will that create an issue? Which is why i am asking, what if going forth CIC asks for my current city's PCC also?

If your PCC is only valid for one city, then it is not valid for CIC/IRCC's purposes. It must be NATIONAL in scope and cover the entire time you lived in that country. For this reason, the address is not relevant.

Which country are you applying for PCC from? If you are in India, you can apply for PCC from Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) The PCC issued by PSK does not mention any address where you have stayed and so is valid even if you have stayed at multiple addresses or even different states.

Go to PSK website, fill an online application for PCC, pay INR 500 and book an appointment. On the day of the appointment, you will need.tl carry copies and originals if supporting documents which will be verified. If you are applying at the PSK from where your passport was issued, you will get it within a couple of hours. Otherwise, you will get it after 3 days post address verification by an officer.

I am applying from Pakistan. I have lived in the twin cities, so the PCC i have, mentions me as a resident of one city, and now i reside in the other.
