Police certificate request again??

Hello folks,
I applied thru Family Sponsorship and when I sent my application on paper I included a police certificate of my home country with a certified translation. A couple of months later I am being requested the same document Updated. The thing is I haven't left Canada all this time. How can I let them know? I wanna try to avoid all the errand again. Thanks

They can request any document at their discretion.

Well thank you, I'll see what I can do. Another question I have if you don't mind me asking is can I leave Canada while my PR is being processed? I gave biometrics and medicals already and it's under Family Sponsorship Other Relative category.

You sure can leave.
It’s not recommended as you don’t know where you can get stuck, specially in this weird times and with IRCC processing applications at random.
Depending on your program, you will need to be In Canada at the moment of approval. So the timing gets tricky.

I was in a similar situation. I tried objecting via webform (while I was waiting to receive the updated certificate), to no avail. No point arguing unless you don't mind waiting (quite likely, in vain).
