Hi Everyone,

My country of residence is different than my country of origin.
I came to my country of origin for a vacation and got the Police Certificate. I will go back to my country of Residence next week.

Do you guys think I can use that PCC? Or do I need to get a new one (as I did not obtain it after I left the country)?

It should be issued after you left the country.

Thank you so much for the info guys, really appreciate it :)
+1 for both of you, Cheers.

I'm in a similar situation except that I haven't applied for it.

Does it mean I should not go back to my hometown to apply it in person? Even if I can apply it from the embassy in the country of residency, I should not go back to my home because of this PCC issue ???

In case you wonder why I ask about PCC after AOR seen in my signature: I can't apply upfront PCC. I'm waiting for the PCC request letter from CIC.

If you are not in your country of origin, its always a good idea to apply for PCC from your embassy unless that option is not available or CIC has a different procedure to obtain PCC from your country.

Luckily for me, the government has a web portal, where I can obtain documents like those, and they are official and online.
So, I'll get it done once I arrive to my country of residence, and I will simply use the web portal to obtain the document.

So, Hong Kong requires use to get a request letter from CIC, in order to release PCC to you?
