Points drop in cec due to job loss

Hi,
I applied for pr in cec and got through in may for cutoff of 464 points. I'm on lmia work permit with my company inter company transfer from India. Now due to covid my contract will be cut short in September and i have to go back.. now since I don't have job with Canada my points drop to 446 and hence get rejected according to a consultancy.. my application is under review and waiting for biometric.. what should I do

When you applied, did you have a letter from the employer offering to continue employing you for at least a year?

Your application is assessed according to your circumstances at the time you got the ITA and submitted your application, so I suggest you stop taking advice from consultants and read the government website instead.

I did have a contract letter saying I have job till July next year.. but now due to covid I'm being cut short..

You should inform IRCC of this change, but I don't think it will be an issue. Your points are essentially locked in after you're invited and apply for PR. Changes that happen afterward are not considered, as long as you didn't try to conceal anything during the application process.

More important would be to make sure you retain legal status in Canada. When does your work permit expire?
