I submitted my profile a month ago and I had 477 points (including both me and wife together in the profile). When the last draw happened (20th draw) I got an invite and my points showed 493. This was because the system calculated my points as 'Single' instead of 'Married' though I have mentioned clearly as Married and all data pertaining to my wife is still in the system.

Did anyone face this glitch or something similar? I am now going to decline the invite even though I was invited since the points were calculated wrong.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, this is strange. If you're sure its a glitch you're right to reject the ITA right away to ensure you get an ITA in a subsequent draw. However might I also recommend you also contact CIC and inform them of this.

Yes my lawyer is already doing that.

You must have answered NO to the question " is your spouse accompanying you to Canada"

Am afraid you would have to decline the invitation.

No, I have mentioned YES to the question "is your spouse accompanying you to Canada".

I declined the invite yesterday and I am back in the pool, but my points still stay at 493 which is wrong. How do I contact CIC to correct this?

CIC Telephone number: 1-888-242-2100 8 AM to 4 PM

See this for more details on contacting CIC

Ok thanks, assume after contacting CIC my points still shows the wrong value(493), and a draw happens for 450, can I apply for PR, because my correct points (477) is anyways going be sufficient for the draw.

Please advise.

Don't see a reason why not.

Yes, as long as your actual score is above the draw points. You may also want to support that with an LOE.

On a second thought, have you tried deleting your profile and creating a new one entirely?

Not yet, I am planning to do that today.
