Point of Entry: Change of Institute

Hello,

At point of entry, can we show LOA of some other university?
There will be any issue that why I am not providing the same LOA with which I filed my visa application?

Hi, I had the same problem while applying for Visa as i had already applied but changed my university. However, I sent an email to them and told my situation/reason and they updated.

Also, I spoke to one of my University admission officer and asked her suggestion. She said that wouldn't be any problem cause the study permit is enought to study anywhere in Canada unsless you are changing your Degree (i.e. Undergraduation to Diploma etc)

There is no Such Issue Both Depends on U Which Offer Letter U Show.

The Only Difference will be " Institute " Written in Study Permit.

You can Use Any Study Permit, as the Visa is Only and Only For Study Purposes so Doesn't Matter Which Offer letter You Show.

My Point of Entry was Montreal but For Some Purpose i Had to Land At Calgary so My Point of Entry was Calgary.

The Immigration Officer asked me Why are you Landing here, I Just told him i Have my Friends here so He issued me Study Permit.

What I am asking is, if I secured my TRV on the basis of abc university, then can I show at POE the LOA of someother xyz university for getting study permit?

There is no issue for that bro, You can show Any Offer you like... if you Show Regina's Offer they will write Regina in your Study Permit

If you show them Vic Uni Offer they will write Victoria There.

P.S : At Victoria whats the program you are holding offer for.

SO if they mention the name of the institute/college/university whose LOA u show to them, does that mean u r now restricted only to the institute/college/university whose name is mentioned and does it mean a condition/retsirction is placed on ur SP or is it just protocol and u can freely change ur institute/college/university after getting SP?

No It does not Restrict you, In the Next line its written " Any Post Secondry " Education

So Now Worries, Its Written Just On Which Basis you Got Your Visa.

They cant impose a restriction as they cant break their Own laws or regulations

Canadian Immigration have Clear Rules that a student can Study at any Institution they Like.

the sole purpose Must be Study. thats it.

oh nice thank u too but u know on the cic website they say that the VO/IO can impose a condition vis the insittue u attend, the level of study u pursue, the province u attend ur studies in, etc. so was just confused.

At Victoria, it is, "Master of Applied Science - Electrical and Computer Engineering Department"
At Regina, it is, "MSc Computer Science - Computer Science Department"

Trust me there won't be any problem in that
You have gathered a lot of answers now still waiting for what?

Here is the official proof: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=487&t=15

No matter which LOA we show to the Immigration Officer. He/She will print that institute name on our SP.
With this printed name of some institute on SP, you can still change our uni/college without even telling CIC about that and with the same SP which you received with the previous institute name.

So chill. Nothing will be wrong
