Hey guys i am in a difficult situation in regards to my spouse pof,her account was in a oost office, they issued us a bank statement that is one year old and a letter mentioning the account holder name, balance and no contact info mentioned, now am left with a few options:

1-translate what i have and submit an loe

2-move the money into a bank account and try to get a proper bank account but they wont be able to give me bank statements plus most banks dont give proper cic format letters only name, balance and the bank logo and stamp

3- if i option to open a bank account will it make a difference if i withdraw the cash and deposit it in a new bank versus transfer them to the new bank account since the later will need a lot more money plus will take 3_7 days

one year is too old. And you should ideally be on the account (joint account).

On the other hand, if you move the money, you won't be able to show a 6-month history (at least, not for 6 months).

The advantage of an electronic transfer is the clear "paper trail" (i.e. your wife clearly transferred it from one account into another.)

A cash transfer is not a deal-breaker, but you must keep all paperwork related to the withdrawal from the old account and immediate deposit into the new account.

So what do you recommend in my situation?

Why would they give you 1 year old statement? Talk to the postmaster of the post office and ask them to give you the latest statements.
