Hi, does anyone know how to get an affidavit in UAE for the POF ? The typing center said they will translate but the notary is unsure if they will notarize it ? Anyone done it for the UAE ?

Can you explain why you need one for POF? Is it to explain the source of your funds if it's not from your regular income?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I got the concerned person to sign the gift affadavit I had drafted and got it legally translated into Arabic at a typing center. Then uploaded the documents in an LOE (Letter of Explanation).

Your original affidavit was on plain paper?

Thanks, I had asked the public notary here and they said they had no idea what a gift deed was so I translated it to be safe.

Just to let you guys know, I had made an affidavit on a plain paper and got the same paper attested/notarized by a lawyer without much hassle although my declaration was rather straightforward. If someone is interested in such a service, I can give you their contact.

Edit: I am not sure if they will notarize the gift deed though.
