I have a bit of a concern with my POF, a colleague who was owing me about about $7000, just paid up in mid-December. I expected the money, and planned to use it as part of my POF. The money was paid into my salary account, and I transferred into my savings account (which is where i started saving mo ey for my POF), in addition to other funds already in the account.

Also another bulk money(December salary)which i transferred from my salary (firstbank) account (have payslip to back it up) to the my savings(POF account).

Now the challenge is this, what documents are my supposed to provide for CIC?

Do i need to and How do i go about explaining the $7000 that came into my salary account?

Please note that this money was given to my colleque in cash USD as she requested then but she repayed me using online banking.

Attach letter signed by your colleague stating the same to be on safe side. For your own money transfered to another bank attach bank statements for both the banks

Thank you for your advice. I will do just that. However do you think it is better to have this letter notorized (i mean the one written by my colleague.

Yes even better if it's notarized

Thank you for your response. I would also like to find out if its possible to do a gift deed before recieving ITA or must it be after ITA because about 20% of my funds will be a gift deed from my dad. I am just trying to gather as much documents as i can and be prepared.

You can get it done before ITA.
