Hi Friends,

Along with my Medical request I have been asked to show my funds.Document says that ,I am quoting exactly from the document which I received from visa office,says "current statement of funds already in Canada or available to be transferred to Canada, i.e. letter(s) of account from your financial institution(bank) confirming the type(s)and current balance(s) of the account (s) you hold.Include bank statements from Canadian banks if applicable.


What should I assume from the above lines.It neither says include 6 or 12 months bank statements.I am neither in Canada nor I have any Canadian bank account so I do not have to submit any bank statements.If I do not have to submit any bank statements than I have to atleast submit letters of account from my financial institution confirming the types and current balances of the accounts which hold.


Can u guys share your opinion based on the lines which we have above.?

Document list doesn't say send us updated POF. It just say's what I have written above.Moreover,in the case of FBI report which I have to submit ,they have asked me to submit updated FBI report.As far as report is concerned they have mentioned that Updated FBI is required

You have to send updated info about your POF. Have to send the statement for the last 6 months and a forwarding letter from the Financial Institution. It can be any bank inside or outside Canada.

Thanks a lot for your help.It looks like I should submit 6 months statement to be on the safe side.Does it anywhere say's that I have to submit 6 months's bank statements along with the letter from the financial institution.

From the letter it does not seem that you have to attach 6-12m bank statement. You just need the CURRENT (latest) BANK statement from your financial institution. You may attach a letter from the Bank manager, if you wish, but not mandatory. People attach them for added safety and transparency.

VO would request for for 3/6/12 m statement if they wanted. Just follow the instructions verbatim.

However,I think I can attach current bank statement with bank letter just to be on the safe side.

sorry....I know u want mitali to answer this.....by what is mentioned in the letter by visa office..u can just send them a current bank certification letter....coz if they need 6 month bank statement, they will ask for it in particular....but in ur case they have only asked for current statement of funds......so if u provide a bank certification letter its more than enough to suffice
