Hi,
I received an email from Centralized Intake office On sept 3rd,2013.
It says:
This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa for further review.

They did not request the passport yet. I applied under PNP Ontario program. The application status says " In process". How long does it take for the Ottawa office to get back to you with the passport request?

Thanks

This means your med/criminality check is complete. Now they will work on your file to check background which is done in couple of months by ottawa office. Next step; you will receive RPRF request within 20 days if you haven't paid already.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.I have already paid the fees. How many months does it usually take for them to request the passport? In December, I will have exactly 6 months until my passport expires. Thus, if I receive a response before that I will get my passport renewed after they request.
Thanks

it used to take 45 days but seems like days has increased to 90, may be more as they are working on may/june 2012 applicants.

get your passport renewed asap and send them e copy of it.. ask dreamhigh in april 2013 forum, she may be help you out a bit more about this. She is going through same process.

Hi there

I am exactly in a similar situation. I have also applied through PNP ontario and received a similar email (saying the file had been transferred to Ottawa for further review) on Sep 8 2013. I have already paid the RPRF but they also haven't asked for the passport yet. I was wondering if there has been any updated on the time they take to request the passport?

Thanks

Hi All,

I have a general question about PNP situation:

I am currently PhD student (London, ON), and I will graduate in next two month. Then, I have to go to US for my post-doc for 1-2 years. There would be two scenarios that can happen for me:

1- apply for PNP as soon as I graduate and before my post-doc starts and then leave for post-doc.
2- Start my post-doc and then apply?

Could anyone let me know what would happen in each case and what would be the best strategy?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Can one submit the PNP-O application without the IELTS result or all documents go together?
