Hi!
I need someone advice on my application to CIC for my permanent residency.
I already got nominated by SINP and now the next step is to apply to CIC for my PR. my civil status is quite complicated so I need an advice. my legal civil status is Married, but my spouse and I were already separated for 4 years. When i applied to SINP, the civil status that I indicated was separated. First I only have an affidavit of my spouse and I that were already separated. Then afterwards the SINP emailed me and asking me for a legal documents stating were separated so I applied for divorce here. I already have file number and sent the petition to the court house. Then I submitted it to SINP and after 2 weeks I go nominated.
Since it will takes almost 3 months for my divorce result, and I need to submit right away to CIC for the processing of my PR. I'm not sure what should I indicate in my civil status.
should i indicate UNKNOWN, MARRIED OR DIVORCE.
I need an advice badly. I emailed CIC about it but unfortunately they just gave a link into their website and didn't find the answer.
