PNP Applications: Avoiding Mistakes

I guess there are many others who need assistance on application works as even small confusions may prove fatal.

My is query is from Generic Application (IMM 0008)
"Q4: Immigration Office requested for processing application"

I always thought that the answer is either Ottawa (AINP) as the case originated from there or the city in my province that nominated me and I filled even the same in the application until I found that it's either country of residence (in case one has lawfully admitted to that country for at least 1 year) OR country of nationality...????

In my case, I've moved just a few months ago to a new country(A) which differs from my country of nationality(B)
So the right info is B...right?

Hey don't worry much... This question is asked so that you may tell which Visa office will be nearest to you for processing of your application...... So the best option is to give the name where you are residing and which is most nearest to you..... And it is not necessary that they will forward your application at the described location.... As in my case i wrote Abu Dhabi VO in this option but my application is being processed at London VO.

Agree. My requested VO was one of the ones serving applicants in-Canada, as I was already in the country; still my application was sent to my home country and is being processed there currently.

I asked why this was so - and on one lucky call to CIC, the explanation was that the VO is assigned that will be the most suitable to evaluate the application. As to what criteria is applied in assigning VOs - well I got differing answers.
