PNP applicant waiting for PR: did u get a open or close work permit?

Hi Everyone,

I am a AINP nominee. Me and my husband have done the medical exams and currently waiting for our case to finalize. I am the principal applicant and was on the post grad work permit (valid for 3 years). My husband was on a open working permit like me.

We renewed our WP and just received it. I got a close work permit, which stated that I can only work for the current employer with the same occupation (!?!?). However, he got himself a open work permit with no restrictions!

Did CIC make a mistake?????? My coworker who is also a AINP nominee had renewed hers and got a new OPEN work permit.

How did you apply for the work permit renewal?

You did the LMO or got the letter of support from AI immigration office?

Did your husband and your coworker do the same thing?

Did your husband get the previous open work permit through the post grad student stream?

I'm going to renew my OWP through PNP as well. But I'm concerning the same thing happened on you. My friend told me that any different situations can make differences on your work permit renewal.
