my husband and myself and 3 children are really interested in moving to canada and starting a new life. what do you think our chances are, my husband is a hgv driver and has 22 years experience and i have secretarial qualifications, how do you apply to live in canada, do you need mega money to move to canada from the uk, we dont know where to begin, please advice us if you can

1. Start by reading www.cic.gc.ca skilled worker. Note that HGV drivers (Semis in Canada) are not considered skilled workers. So the only way you would get to Canada, is the work permit and PNP route. That is find a trucking company in Manitoba/Saskatchewan/PEI/ that will hire on work permits, (You would have to take the tests and obtain a Class 1 license in the province, before you could drive.) After 6 months on the work permit, the company can obtain a PNP certificate for you, and then you can apply for PR. Note your spouse will not be able to work until you receive the PNP certificate.
