Pls suggest me about my eligibility!

Dear All,

I am a newbie here and I am planning to apply under Skilled worker. I have worked for 1.5 years as Assistant Sales Manager with Reliance Capital Ltd. India in Construction Equipment loans. My dilemma is whether I qualify under Management occupations - 0122 or Sales & service occupations- 6235 as my job profile was kind of mix of both. My basic salary was 4.50 lacs p.a.

I think that 6235 is not entertained as a managerial position, hence, it does not makes me eligible applicant. But I am not sure which is why I request for your suggestions and inputs.

P.S. at present I am living in USA on dependent visa.

Look at both occupations and see which set of duties under the ministerial instuctions best mtaches your experience for the 1.5 years and it is among the 29 NOCs. To see the duties, follow the link below my post and search for the relevant NOC. All the best!

Thanks Mandie,

But I am wondering that 6235 will be considered as per NOC 2012! The new NOC says only Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) can apply whereas 6235 comes under:
6 Sales and service occupations
Major Group 62
Retail sales supervisors and specialized sales occupations

I am ignorant about this and was not able to figure it out over search engines. Pls help me understand.

If you want to apply through the Federal Skilled Worker program then your occupation must appear on this list:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

If your occupation does not appear on the list above, then you need a job offer in Canada to qualify to apply.
