I strongly believe that i can get a useful advice for my concern.

I am a gay and i have boyfriend in Canada neither of us have money to visit each other but he earns enough money and he will be able to look after myself and once i go there i will also be able to find a good job with current experience.

Now we are planing to get married using Skype so that i believe i will be able to get Visa easily and with his sponsorship.

Please someone advice on this whether it will work out or not.

If you two don't have money to meet at least once for your marriage, how would you get the money to move to Canada even if you could apply? Not to mention, the application itself costs over $1000 CAD. Can either of you get a second job? Not only is meeting each other in person very important to the future and validity of your relationship, Canada requires it! Visa officers would also not be likely to consider your relationship genuine if you've never met in person.

are there any other ways my friends ?

Have him visit your country and get married, or if same-sex marriage is not possibly in your country then go to another country to get married. Or you can apply for a TRV to come to Canada and get married here.

How much time have you and your boyfriend actually spent in person together?

Ohh, I was replying under the assumption that you two had never met. If you HAVE spent time together, that would make a much stronger case. However, you would still need to get married in person as CIC does not recognise marriage by proxy or over the phone, internet, etc.

Thank you for the reply guys!

I'm living in Sri Lanka and gay marriage is not legal here.

well we haven't met yet in person he had planned to come here by December but he is broken now because of the bankrupt of his business.
$1000 is anyway we can pay i have parents here and they have some property so anyhow we will try to pay and anyway he is earning there too but not like previous. we don't want to be broken up because of these restrictions and problems.

and here my family doesn't know that i'm gay and i have boyfriend too. If anyone gets know about me here my life will be destroyed anyway i have to move from here for my boyfriend and for my future.

You're welcome. I'm sorry you're going through so much stress right now. I really hope you two can find a way. I'm rooting for you!

If you've never met and he's bankrupt on top of that - there is absolutely no way he can sponsor you.

If you want to immigrate to Canada you will have to qualify on your own through one of Canada's economic immigration streams such as skilled worker.

Depends if he's bankrupt or the business is bankrupt, and if it's him, if it's discharged already.

But yes, you NEED to meet, or at least try to. Maybe you can meet in another country. You absolutely have to show you've tried everything in your power to be together.

I suggest getting a job and trying for a TRV. Though it's unlikely to get approved you can show you've tried. There's always a way, hell I know people who work at Walmart and manage to travel the world. I don't see why he can't somehow make it happen.

You absolutely need to meet in person at least one (preferably several times) before he makes any attempt to sponsor you. CIC is certainly not going to approve a sponsorship application for two people who have never met. You may not be able to get married or live common law - but you can certainly meet or visit each other somewhere.
