Hi,
I am eligible for PR under CEC and i have all required documents. I am married and have kid. My family is in india and they have never been here. They dont have passport also. now i want to apply for PR only for myself. But i heard that i can not apply only for myself with the marrital status married. but i dont have documents to apply for my family. i want to apply for myself and later on i woudl like to apply for my wife and kid. is there any way to apply only for myself for now. i heard they will reject the application when they find the marriatal status as married and no documents of spouse. Can some one please help me on this. I really appreciate if you can help me.

Thanks,
Srihari.

Apply with your family tell your family to apply for new passport on urgent bases and than apply pr

All dependents must be declared in the application regardless of whether they are accompanying or not.

However, to make your case stronger, I strongly suggest you to apply with your family as accompanying dependents.

As posted by Samir, first step for you is to apply for your family members' passport. Meanwhile, keep the application ready. Once you get the passports, fill in the details and send the application.

As others have said, you have NO CHOICE but to include your family in your application. If you apply as single, you will be committing misrepresentation (lying) which will create big problems for your application. You'll need to start by getting passports for your family. You can't submit a complete application without passports.

Are you sure?

Can't he apply for himself now be declaring family details. After his PR he can sponsor for his family. By then he will get ready for all docs for his family.

I saw many people doing above. I don't think its wrong or impossible.

Any ways, let Srihari decide by talking to different people or a lawyer for an advise.

Would still have to submit all the documents he claims he doesn't have. They would still have to get medicals. The only alternative would be to permanently exclude them from his application, after which he could not sponsor them, ever..
