What does STATEMENT OF PURPOSE has to do in student visa application for international student applying to canadian embassy? Thanks

Statement of purpose covers reasons why you chose to study in Canada, why you are getting a master's/diploma/PhD degree, your overall qualifications, your proposed research (if there is any), your plans after graduation. It's like making the visa officer know you better.

at DocRZ,please what about someone whose all his post secondary school qualification is short courses and certificate course in his home country and decided to do a certificate course of 7 months in canada?

Statement of purpose is much the same thing for students. Just compose one that is applicable to your situation. No need to impress the visa officer too much about your academic achievements or work experience. Give the visa officer a letter that can explain why you're choosing your program in Canada and relate this to your studies from home country. You can also discuss future plans after graduation.
