Good day to all:
I am hoping to apply for CEC this year under NOC B as being a Food Service Supervisor:

I'm a little worried of my IELTS result:
Speaking : 7.5
Reading : 5.5
Writing : 4.5
Listening : 6.5

I don't know what happened with my writing. Why its too low. Am I eligible to apply? thanks a lot.

Unfortunately your writing score 4.5 is lower than the required score (5) for CEC

"If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC B job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 5 in either English or French for all four language abilities."

CLB 5 =
L= 5
R= 4
W= 5
S= 5

Its heart breaking to fail just one category. So I need to retake everything for just one category? I thought through the other topics that the CBL is ok if one is 4 then the rest are 5 or higher. Thanks

It was something like that until Dec 2012. It has changed now.

Sorry to bear this bad new for you, but you need to retake IELTS/CELPIP. Don't worry, many of us did this including me :)
