Hey everyone!!! PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP QUICKLY!!!! I am a Canadian Citizen living in America and I wanted to take my girlfriend up to Canada to visit Niagara Falls and my family in March. However, she isn't an American citizen but she has 2 travel visas to enter and reenter America freely. She applied for a multiple entry TRV for Canada and was denied because of the following reasons according to the VO.

" You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:
1) Your Immigration Status
2) Your current employment situation

I want to reapply with a signed affidavit saying she will return but I was wondering if we would have to pay the $150 fee again if you reapply immediately? And what advice would you guys have if I were to reapply and avoid refusal again?

THANK YOU!!!!

Yes - you need to pay the fee again if you want to reapply.

When you reapply you ideally want to address the reasons why the application was refused the first time. She can only fully address the reasons for refusal by returning to her home country and applying from there. However you can certainly give the affidavit a try. Good luck.

Is there no grace period for reapplying ? Man that sucks so we are out $150 then with no way to get it back ?

Nope, the fee is a processing fee, CIC processed your application, keeps your $150

Yes - You'll have to pay the fee again. There is no "grace period" for processing an application. Once they open your documents, the $150 becomes theirs
