Hi Roger55,
Please could you help me with my situation, i have seen the way you have explained it. I sent my full application to Visa Office in June 2009 and i received AOR in July 2009. Since then i have not received any mail from the Visa Office and i have no idea if my file has been transferred from Sidney to Local Visa Office.

My E.cas is still showing the same old information from Nova Scotia , secondly i sent a change of contact address notification mail from the Client application status and till today my E. Cas is still showing the same old address.

I am so confused of what to do at the moment.

Please advice me on what to do.

Thanks for understanding.

I am far from being a senior member I am just learning day by day.

Your visa office has not received your file from Sydney N.S. yet so they cannot change the e-cas status and also , they cannot change your address because they still do not have your file. I went through the same situation and I sent e-mail for address change and when I asked visa office what was going on , they answered this:

Good Morning,

We have still not received your file from CPC Sydney and hence cannot update your address at this point. As soon as we receive your application, your address will be updated.

Regards,

Immigration Section/ Section de l'immigration

So be patient , you have to wait for your file to be transferred fron Sydney N.S. to your visa office, until this is done, e-cas status will not change, but visa office is perfectly aware of your new address but they cannot change it on e-cas until your file is received. Everything is O.K.

Hi Rogers55,
Thanks for your quick response. Ok here is the situation when i applied in January 2009 at Novia Scotia , i used an address and when i was sending my application to Visa office i changed address.

That address was updated in September 2009 on my e.cas when my full application arrived thei office , because the full application was bearing the new address.

The building where i am presently living, were making repairs and i was asked to move to another section of the same building. So i had to ask for address change for the second time. It is for the second time that i am waiting for the address change. So i moved from F to E so i had to ask then for change of address.

Waiting for a reply.

No problem, just notify them of your new address. Same process as first time. Lots of people change address during immigration process. Just notify them and wait till they make the change.

Hi Rogers,
Thanks for your response. I did so in October and since it had not change some other people advised me to send them an e.mail. I sent it last week so waiting for reply.. I am waiting to see when it will change.

Now i am a little relieved.

Guys,... sorry for using this topic again but I htought it's better this way since my situation is similar,.. I have a change of address too, need to move too since, yeah,... building under repair,....

I saw in the CIC website that we can also update them of our results if we have taken an approved language test, which I have done so.

Can I do both of the above together, ie update them on the change of address as well as of my IELTS score which I have taken a few months ago ? Do I need to get the IELTS Exams Centre to send them a transcript in a sealed envelope ?

Would appreciate some advice here,... thanks, guys,...

You must send original IELTS test score sheet to visa office with rest of documents after receiving AOR, it has to be the original . Address change can be donde by ecas, e-mail or fax. do it A.S.A.P.

I see, thank you,... yes, I will be providing the original IELTS Score, but what is the procedure please ? Do I :-

1) get the original from the Exams Centre and pass it up to the CHC; OR,

2) ask the Exams Centre to send it directly to the CHC ?

Secondly, YES, I have gotten my AOR, so that means I can submit my IELTS Score. I have not gotten the full listing of documents that I need to send to them, though,.... so, I guess that I just need to update CHC of my IELTS Score first, and the rest of the documents are to go when I get the Request-For-Documents Letter.

Am I right in the above, and please help on how to send the score, Sir,....

In the AOR it specifies that you have 120 days to send complete document package ( see visa office specific instructions ) the IELTS is included in this package wchich you must send all together.

Am I right in the above, and please help on how to send the score, Sir,....

Sir,... thank you for our reply on the submitting of the IELTS Score. How about that AOR thing and the other documents thing ? Is my reasoning correct please ?

Thank you once again,...

You will receive a AOR letter from CIC which lets you know if you are accepted for second stage ( visa office ) or your application is rejected. In this AOR letter you are given instructions to submit a complete document package to visa office ( IELTS is included in these documents ). Read instruction manuals on CIC website all details are there.

Sir,... I applied under the old rules,.. and I have received the AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt, which carries inside : a letter explaining what that would be expected of me to submit when the Request-For-Documents (RFD) come later. However, the letter also says that I should not submit anything until I receive the RFD.

Inside the AOR, is a set of Bar Codes which I am to use in future communications with the CHC.

Looks like the AOR you mentioned in the above is different from the one I received. By the way, I submitted my simplified application at end-2007, and received my AOR in January, 2008.

Why is my AOR different, Sir,....
