Hi. I would like to ask for your opinion about our situation about applying for a conjugal visa. My boyfriend and I are both Filipinos and he is currently in canada under a work permit for 2 years. We’ve been together for a year and half. We have travelled together the 1st was on taiwan for 2 weeks and the 2nd was here in the philippines and he stayed here for almost a month. We were not given a chance to lived together for 12 months because he is under a work permit in canada nor cant get married since we both have a different religion and neither of us cant decide who will change religion just to get married. He have proof of remittances, Photos with family and friends, letters and gifts during special occasion. Do you guys think that we have a chance to have a conjugal visa? Thank you. There's no dependent conjugal visa for people who are in Canada on work permits.

Conjugal only applies to Canadians who are sponsoring their partners for PR. If your boyfriend becomes a PR, I think you will have problems proving you are a conjugal couple since there are no real barriers to getting married. One of you will need to make the decision to change religions so that you can get married.
