Interview........
No interview
I am feeling really stressed about the process, and just want some reassurance and answers.

1.)My main concern is being approved to sponsor my husband. I realize that there is no required minimum amount of money that I must make per year. Although last year I only worked for 4 months, since I was with him in his country the rest of the time. What sort of things must I
Submit?
- Pay stubs?
-Bank information?
And I read something about having someone co sign for the sponsorship. What does that mean?

2.)He was deported for Greece because he didn’t have a visa a few months ago. An immigration lawyer told me it is best not to mention it, and to just say that yes we met in Greece, and he was only there for a few weeks.

3.)Also showing that our relationship is true, genuine and continuing.
-Usually we talk with skype, and I don’t know how to show a record of that
-When I phone him it is with calling cards, can I show the phone where I used the calling cards?
-We email daily, although it’s not in English, do I have to get it all translated?
-For our photos together, do we send the originals? Or photocopies, and do we write descriptions on the back?

4.)Also we had previously applied for a Canadian visitor visa for him, which he was denied. Will that complicate anything at all?

5.)How long does it usually take to get the papers filled out correctly?

Any information, about the above questions, or the process in general would be greatly appreciated.

I'll let more-experienced people answer you, but regarding showing SKYPE calls I may have an idea for you. I called my (now) wife via SKYPE OUT, in order to ask er to get on her computer so we could talk free by SKYPE. It is possible to call up a record of all SKYPE OUT calls, and paste them into a WORD file.

:o So essentially, your lawyer told you to LIE???!!! Wow! Terrible advice. If your husband was deported from Canada, that would be very easy to check and it would be very stupid to lie about it. DO NOT LIE ON YOUR APPLICATION! Your application could then be refused for misrepresentation and you would be banned from re-applying for 2 years. Just tell the truth.

Regarding your other questions:
1. Spousal applicants cannot have a cosponsor. It doesn't matter that you only worked for 4 months. The fact that you spent the other 8 months living with your spouse says alot and will add weight to your application. Just explain why you were not working. For what info. you need, you really need to read the guidebooks. All the information that you need is there. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

3. As Toby said, Skype keeps records of your calls. Just look under Window > History. (Those are the menus on a Mac. May be slightly different if you're using a PC.) Then you can just do a print screen of your calls.

4. Probably not, but it depends why he was denied. If he was denied for instance for not having sufficient funds, it won't have any effect. If he was denied for having a criminal record, it will have an effect. Include your emails. You don't need to translate all of them. I would print the contents of your inbox/outbox to show how often you contacted each other and then translate a sample of your emails. You can do this yourself. It doesn't need to be profesionally translated.

5. I think it depends on your situation. There's definitely alot of information to compile. It probably took us a couple months altogether.

Good luck!

One of the forms he will have to fill out specifically asks if he has ever been refused admission to or ordered to leave Canada or any other country (and asks for details).

If you misrepresent or lie about anything, your husband could end up being deported from Canada if it's discovered.

You can get the records from skype. There is view chat history and view call list and windows- history (as ariell said but we are both on Macs). Both those can become screen shots. Additionally, and this is a tip I got from an immigration consultant, if you have video for skype then take screen shots of the two of you talking with one another.

Regretfully you lied on the visitor visa application, but just make sure to be honest from here-out and yes, if you apply outland you can reapply if need be.

How long it take to compile your information and complete the forms is totally up to you.

Good luck!
