Hi all,

My husband was nominated by Bcpnp last feb. we then applied for permanent residency in march 2012. Our application has been in process for 11 months now. We are still waiting for a decision. Problem is my husband has a new job offer and has accepted the job. We were told it was possible by pnp to move employers during the process providing it was a similar job. Now pnp have said its not possible. Has anyone any experience of this or know if its possible to switch employers? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hello there..
Was your husband sponsored for the first company?.. Is the answer is yes, I think you can do it, but you have to send all the support documents from the new company to bcpnp (written job offer signed by the new employer and you outlining terms of employment, the business licence, verification the employer has at least 5 employees, that they attempted to recruit locally, etc.) and they have to approve the change.. like new application and it wouldn't interfere with your PR process... the only think that I don't know, if they have to approve everything before start the new job.. Only bcpnp officer will know..
Maybe you can contact them and ask..

Good luck

Irishlydia,

Is this new job located in BC? If not - BC will withdraw the nomination.
In case if it's in BC and similar to the initial one - it shouldn't be a problem.
